Maras and Moray

Tour Maras Salt mines and Moray circles

Price per person: US$ 20.00

Visit to the impressive Maras Salt mines and the agricultural wonder of the Incas, Moray.

The Maras Salineras are made up of more than three thousand salt wells. Each of these wells has a size of 5 square meters.
The wells are fed by a hypersaline spring that originated 110 million years ago during the formation of the Andes Mountains.
Nowadays, the Salt mines have become a tourist attraction due to the beautiful landscape of the place and the harvesting of Salt, just as it was done hundreds of years ago during the time of the Incas.

After Maras we visit Moray. Recognized for its great impact on Inca agriculture, it can be said that Moray was for the Incas like a center of agricultural experimentation made up of platforms built in the shape of concentric circles.
