The Tour to the Mountain of 7 Colors – Vinicunca is an excursion appreciated by every visitor who comes to Cusco for its impressive colors and similarity to the colors of the Rainbow. The large amount of minerals it has, the result of melting ice, has obtained its colors that attract hundreds of travelers.

The residents call it Cerro Vinicunca, located 5,200 meters above sea level, located on the way to the snowy Ausangate in the Vilcanota Mountain Range, in the district of Pitumarca. Its slopes and peaks are dyed by stripes of intense fuchsia, turquoise, lavender and gold tones; They attract visitors of various ages and nationalities.

ITINERARY

Cusco – Cusipata – Mountain of Colors – Cusco

• 04.00 – 04.30 h. Tour to the Vinicunca mountain of 7 colors begins with the pick-up from your Hotel and the beginning of the trip to the town of Cusipata (2 hours of travel).
• Upon arrival we make a brief stop and enjoy a good breakfast.
  Then we continue the trip to the starting point of the walk (1 hour trip).
• The walk begins with a section of approximately 2km. (1 hour) crossing mountains and appreciating beautiful high Andean landscapes surrounded by snow-capped mountains.
• After 1 hour of walking we arrive at the mountain of colors where we can appreciate this wonderful landscape of colors that nature offers us (40 minutes of free time in the place). Later we began the descent hike, which is quite easy.
• 12:00 hrs We board the transportation to the restaurant located in the town of Cusipata where we will enjoy a buffet lunch.
• After lunch we begin the return trip to the city of Cusco, arriving at approximately 5:00 p.m. (we left it near the main square).
